"The location is the best, the organization is the best and we enjoyed this regatta so much. Rocks, stakes and sticks are used as natural marks and it's perfect for everybody. This event is exceptional and excellently organized."
Marco Vogele, owner of Gliss
"I would like to congratulate you on this spectacular event. The racing was demanding but a lot of fun and the social events were great. We are definitely coming back in 2010."
Kim Schindelhauer, owner of Scorpione Dei Mari
"This was a super week, Porto Cervo at its best. The weather was a dream, ideal sailing conditions that you will not find at this time in Europe. The organization was first class, the race committee as well. We will definitely come again."
Thomas Bsher, owner of Open Season
"A perfect week perfectly organised from the sporting side to the social events."
Antonio Figueiredo, Owner of Fado
"Wonderful regatta, beautiful people, fantastic weather and perfect organization." Alessandro Rinaldi, owner of Farewell
"Jane and I thought that the Boat International people did an excellent organisational job. Racing, weather and sea were near-perfect conditions. The Yacht Club and related facilities were excellent. The Beach Party on Thursday night was outstanding for location/food/camaraderie. The crew reported their beach party Friday night was also excellent. The Owner's Dinner was very nicely done. All in all, the best regatta we've ever had the pleasure of participating in and we hope to be back!"
Glenn and Jane Hickerson, owners of Kalikobass II
"I think Porto Cervo is the best place to sail in Europe."
Owner of Ganesha
"That was a serious workout but it was fantastic! The weather was perfect for sailing and the course was excellent."
Andrea Recordati, owner of Indio
"Perfect sailing, the ideal boat, ideal sailing and a dream sailing day. Perfect testing ground and I've enjoyed it so much I'm coming back on board tomorrow. It's my first time sailing on board and the boat was really balanced and fun."
Wife of Andrea Recordati, owner of Indio
"The event is really well organized and is a credit to the YCCS and Boat International Media." Rodney Martin, Managing Director of Fitzroy Yachts
"It was the perfect sailing day. We had around 18 knots of wind and this is the perfect place to have regattas." Luca Bassani, CEO of Wally
"We had a good week and it has been a great event."
Tommaso Chieffi, veteran America's Cup sailor and tactician aboard My Song
"It was the perfect course for today's conditions. Calling tactics on this 52 metre yacht is not much different than on the Farr 40 or even in the Star class. I am really enjoying working with such a large crew though."
Andrew "Dog" Palfrey, Olympic Star sailor for Australia (2008) and tactician aboard Kokomo
"I am a pure sailing amateur and this was my first racing on board of a yacht. It was a wonderful experience, this combination of nature and high technology."
Heiner Weiss, former pilot and racing car driver and guest aboard Open Season
"The variety of boats all racing together, the location, the weather and the atmosphere is unique. The race organisation by YCCS is world class and the yacht club is possibly the most beautiful and organised in the world. In common with our clients, we at Dubois feel it is the superyacht regatta for the Mediterranean."
Ed Dubois, CEO of Dubois Naval Architects and designer of Moonbird
"This is a great event and definitely one for our owners. I love the location and the ambience. A beautiful area, beautiful sailing and the organisation was well done and elegantly done by Boat International Media as always. We like to express our thanks to you and your team for your hospitality and the excellent way you organized the whole event."
Alice Huisman, Managing Director of Royal Huisman
"Congratulations on your perfect organisation!"
Raffaella Yeuillaz, Communication Manager for Southern Wind Shipyard
"Six magnificent days of racing off the Costa Smeralda again confirmed what we already knew - of all the possible regatta venues in the world, Costa Smeralda remains at or close to the very top of the list! The Loro Piana Superyacht Regatta was a toughly contested battle. On board the 52m Kokomo we had some extremely close racing against the Tripp/Wally carbon fibre Saudade, often sailing within a boat length of one another all day long. The spectacle of crossing tacks with the likes of the classic schooner Meteor one minute and with the Wally sleds the next was really quite something. The perfect sailing conditions ranging from 5 to 10 knots all the way up to 35 knots of wind could not have been better even if one could have placed an order. We keenly look forward to participating in next year's event."
Peter Wilson, Founding Partner of MCM Management and World Superyacht Awards Judge
